Calendars and booking

Turn availability into booked appointments. Connect your calendar and set the times customers can book.

#How the assistant books

  1. The caller asks for a time. The assistant checks your opening hours, the service's duration, existing appointments and any connected calendars.
  2. It offers concrete free times and books the one the caller picks, with their name and number.
  3. The booking appears under Appointments, is written to connected calendars in the background, and fires the appointment.created webhook.
  4. The caller can get a text confirmation, and a reminder the day before. See Reminders.

The assistant always books an explicit date and time in your time zone, so "next Friday" can't slide into the wrong week or year.

#Connect a calendar

CalendarHow you connectSync
Google CalendarSign in with Google.Two-way. Busy times block booking and bookings appear as events.
iCloud, Fastmail, Nextcloud, Zoho and other CalDAVServer address, username and an app password.Two-way.
Outlook and anything with an .ics linkPaste the private calendar address.Read-only. Busy times block booking.

Connect calendars from the Appointments page. Each connection belongs either to the whole business or to one teammate, whose calendar then only blocks and receives their own bookings.

Tip
For iCloud, create an app-specific password at appleid.apple.com and use it instead of your Apple ID password.

#When a calendar can't be read

If a connected calendar is unreachable, its busy times are treated as free so the assistant can keep booking, and the connection is marked as failing on the Appointments page so you can fix it. Writing to calendars happens after the booking is saved, so a slow calendar never holds up a call.

#Manage appointments

The Appointments page has day, week and month views. Drag an appointment to move it, or open it to change, cancel or mark it done. Changes sync to connected calendars.
