Dashboard quickstart

Give your AI the facts, choose its voice and test a call. Then connect your number.

  1. #Log in and start your trial

Log in to BluePenguin to create your trial account. Choose or upgrade your package from Settings → Plan & billing when you're ready.

  2. #Import your business

Paste your website address during onboarding. BluePenguin reads your home page and up to five more pages that usually hold facts, such as services, prices, FAQ, contact and hours. It drafts your business information, services, FAQs, policies, opening hours and a greeting, and saves nothing until you review the draft and apply it.

    Tip
No website yet? Fill in the same details under Knowledge. See Knowledge.
  3. #Set up your assistant

Open Assistants and edit the default one. Four settings matter most on day one:

    • The first message, which is what it says when it picks up.
    • The instructions, written like a brief for a new receptionist.
    • The voice. Every voice has a preview.
    • The tools. Booking, messages, transfers and texts are on by default.

The prompting guide covers how to write good instructions.

  4. #Make a test call

Save, then press Test call on the assistant page and talk to it through your browser microphone. A live transcript shows what it heard and said. Unsaved changes are not used, so save first.

  5. #Connect a phone number

On Phone numbers, get a new number, forward your existing one, or connect your phone system over SIP. The phone quickstart walks through each option.

  6. #Decide what happens after hours

Set your opening hours under Phone numbers → Business hours. Then, under Call handling, choose whether the AI answers around the clock or only while you are open, and pick a fallback for everything else. See Hours and fallback.
