Calls

Troubleshoot calls

Find the problem from the caller’s experience. Use the call record to see what went wrong.

#The call wasn't answered

  • Check Call handling: is the AI switched on, and does the after-hours setting send calls to the fallback?
  • Check your plan has minutes left and the trial hasn't ended.
  • For forwarded numbers, call the BluePenguin number directly. If that works, the forward on your carrier isn't set up.
  • For PBX calls, see Troubleshoot SIP.

#The assistant said something wrong

  • Read the transcript and look at the tool calls. Did it have the right facts?
  • Add the missing facts to Knowledge, or correct the instructions.
  • Add the call as a case to a test suite so it can't come back.

#It interrupts callers, or waits too long

Adjust the end-of-turn threshold and the interruption setting. See Speech-to-text and Conversation behaviour.

#It feels slow

Open the Latency tab to see which part of each reply took longest, then follow Latency and cost.

#It didn't book

  • Is the Booking tool on for this assistant?
  • Are opening hours set, and does the time fall inside them?
  • Does a connected calendar show that time as busy?

#It didn't transfer

The Transfer tool only appears when at least one transfer target exists. Check the target's description says when to use it.
