After-call automation

Finish the call. Start the follow-up. Log details to Google Sheets and send urgent messages to Slack.

  1. #Connect the apps

    Under Settings → Connected apps, connect Google Sheets and Slack.

  2. #Start the workflow

    Create a workflow whose start is one conversation block holding your assistant's usual instructions, so calls go exactly as before. Then add an After call trigger.

  3. #Log the call

    Add an App block, Google Sheets "Add row", with these fields:

    ColumnValue
    Date{{date}}
    Caller{{caller_name}}
    Outcome{{outcome}}
    Summary{{summary}}
    Link{{call.link}}
  4. #Check whether it is urgent

    Add an AI block with the choices urgent and normal and the instruction "Is this call urgent for the business? {{summary}}".

  5. #Alert Slack

    On the urgent arrow, add an App block, Slack "Post message":

    Text
    :rotating_light: Urgent call from {{caller_name}}: {{summary}} {{call.link}}
  6. #Use it

    Save, then set the assistant's prompt to this workflow on its Assistant tab. The automation now runs after every call to that assistant.

Tip
Type "after each call, add a row to my sheet and alert Slack if it's urgent" into the workflow editor's AI box and it drafts this for you.
