Connect Avaya IP Office

Let the AI answer calls from Avaya IP Office (IP Office Manager) and transfer them back to your team. Connect your phone system with these steps.

First create a trunk on Phone numbers → PBX / SIP and choose Avaya IP Office. In the steps below, SIP_SERVER, USERNAME and TRUNK_PASSWORD are the values shown on your trunk page.

#Steps

  1. In IP Office Manager: Line → New → SIP Line.

  2. SIP Line tab: ITSP domain name = the SIP server. Transport tab: ITSP proxy address = the SIP server, layer 4 protocol UDP, port 5060.

  3. SIP Credentials: user name and authentication name = the trunk username, password = the trunk password, registration required.

  4. VoIP tab: codecs G.711 ULAW 64K and G.711 ALAW 64K, re-invite supported.

  5. Add a system short code: code 7777, feature Dial, telephone number 7777@SIP_SERVER, line group ID = the SIP line's outgoing group.

  6. Route callers to the AI with 7777 as an incoming call route destination, hunt group overflow or auto attendant action.

#Check it works

  1. The trunk page shows Registered (for username and password trunks).
  2. Dial 7777 from an internal extension. The AI should answer.
  3. Ask to be transferred to a person, and check the call reaches the extension you set.
