Built-in tools

Book, message, transfer and text. Set up the built-in tools your assistant needs.

Switch built-in tools on or off on the assistant's Tools tab. A tool is only offered to the model when it can work, for example texts need a number that can send them.

Booking	`check_availability`, `book_appointment`	Finds free times and books them. See Calendars and booking.	Opening hours; services with durations help.
Messages	`take_message`, `save_caller_details`	Saves a message (urgent ones notify you at once) and the caller's name and email to the contact.	Nothing.
Transfer	`transfer_call`	Puts the caller through to a transfer target.	At least one transfer target.
Texts	`send_text_to_caller`	Texts the caller, for example an address or a confirmation.	A text-capable number and a known caller number.
Payment links	`send_payment_link`	Texts a secure payment link for a service or a general one. The assistant never takes card details by voice.	A payment link in Knowledge and a text-capable number.
Knowledge	`lookup_knowledge`	Searches your documents.	At least one ready document.
End call	`end_call`	Says goodbye and hangs up once the conversation is finished.	Nothing.

Reminder calls also get cancel_current_appointment, so a customer can cancel or move the booking the call is about. See Reminders.
