Languages

Set the language on the assistant. It can speak English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Dutch, Russian, Japanese and Hindi.

#Auto

With the language set to Auto, the assistant greets callers in English and then replies in whatever language they speak, switching as soon as they do. Pair it with the flux-general-multi speech-to-text model, which recognises several languages. See Speech-to-text.

#One assistant per language

If you get many calls in two languages, a separate assistant for each usually sounds better: the instructions, voice and greeting can all be native. Give each language its own number, or use a handoff from a front-door assistant.
